NULL ECHO is a logic and deduction puzzle game for Android, developed by Obe. You solve deduction puzzles to reconstruct corrupted memories and uncover stories. This policy explains what NULL ECHO does — and does not do — with your data.
In short: NULL ECHO collects nothing itself and plays entirely on your device. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is your Daily time, sent to Google Play Games leaderboards — and only if you are signed in to Play Games.
Information we collect
None. NULL ECHO does not collect any personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or account details, and it has no accounts of its own. The game shows no ads.
Permissions we use
- Vibrate (VIBRATE)
- Used only for haptic feedback when you mark a pad, which you can switch off in the game's settings. It gives no access to any data.
- Internet (INTERNET)
- Used only by Google Play Games, to send your Daily times to the leaderboards and show them. The game itself needs no connection.
The app declares no storage, location, camera, microphone, or contacts permissions.
Data stored on your device
- Game progress
- Which boards you have recovered, how you recovered them (independently, assisted, or recovered), your Daily times, and any board in progress.
- Settings
- Sound, haptics, and motion preferences.
This data lives in the app's private storage on your device and is never uploaded. Android's own device backup may include it if you have backup turned on; that is handled by Google under your Google account settings, not by NULL ECHO.
Security
Your game progress never leaves your device. Leaderboard scores are sent by Google Play Games over Google's encrypted connection.
Data retention and deletion
We retain nothing — there is no server and no account. You can erase your progress at any time from the game's settings, and uninstalling the app removes all of its local data.
Third-party services
NULL ECHO uses no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or cloud services.
Google Play Games (Daily leaderboards)
If you are signed in to Google Play Games, your time on each day's ranked Daily board is submitted to that day's leaderboard, together with a short tag (the date, the difficulty and the number of mismatches). Google Play Games shows it with your Play Games profile name. This is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; NULL ECHO itself receives no information about you. Signing in is optional, and the game plays fully without it.
Planned: archive packs
Additional archive packs may become available as in-app purchases. Payments would be handled entirely by Google Play; NULL ECHO never sees your payment details.
Children
NULL ECHO collects no data from anyone, including children.
